Born an old-west town, Austin Nevada was home to some of Nevada's more colorful prospectors and silver miners. Today, with the expansive Toiyabe Mountain Range as its backyard, it features some of the best mountain biking, hiking and exploring in the state. Although rich in history, this town is not a "ghost town." Austin’s historic Main Street has motels, bed and breakfasts, RV parks, restaurants, gas stations and unique shops to visit. Join us for another great 4th of July weekend in Austin. This Austin tradition is always a special time for the town to get together with both old and new friends. For a healthy shot of small town nostalgia and festivities, come on out and celebrate the 4th with us!

August 3: Kingston Volunteer Fire Department Annual Picnic
Our good neighbor, Kingston, will once again be hosting their annual picnic for the volunteer fire department. Activities include a barbecue, bingo, cakewalk, gun raffles, live auction and kids’ games.

August 17: Lions Club Fly-In
This event is always a fun one and features a plane-themed festival held at the Austin Airport.
